Registered Nurse (RN) Specialist - Urgent Care

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE P rovides safe, quality nursing care under the direction of Samaritan Health Services practitioners and the Clinic Supervisor for patients within scope of practice. Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient record and relaying test results. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION T he Urgent Care teams at Samaritan Health Services treat conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered to be life-threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the hospital emergency department. EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS C urrent unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required. Healthcare Provider BLS required upon hire. Experience and/or training with computer applications preferred. Previous experience in area of specialty for clinic applying for (i.e. ob/gyn; UC ; Dermatology) preferred. AGH W alk-In Clinic Geary St: ACLS required within 90 days of hire. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES P atient Care - Possess the skills and knowledge needed to assist and care for others.
