Clinical Lab Scientist/Technician - Evenings

Job summary: The Clinical Laboratory Scientist independently performs routine and special diagnostic procedures on blood and other body fluids from patients of all age groups served by SPH. Knowledge/Experience: One year experience as a generalist clinical laboratory scientist in a healthcare setting preferred. Education: Baccalaureate in Medical Technology or equivalent. License/Certification/Registry: Current national certification required. Montana State Licensure as CLS required within six (6) months from the date of hire. Aptitudes: - Must demonstrate problem-solving ability and ability to perform complex calculations. - Must be able to manage stressful situations with tact and simultaneously deliver good patient care. - Must be capable of multitasking and prioritization. - Must demonstrate exceptional organizational ability. - Must demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills. - Must demonstrate flexibility. - Must demonstrate professionalism. - Must be able to work under extremely busy conditions. - *Must be able to provide on call coverage. - Must be able to communicate verbally, in writing and electronically. - Must demonstrate attention to detail. - Must exhibit courtesy and tact.
