Surgical Inventory Specialist Department: Surgical Services AdminHours: per diemPosition SummaryResponsible for ongoing maintenance of the surgical case cart inventory supplies for multiple departments. Acts as key resource to Surgical inventory Analyst and coordinates tasks of Surgical inventory assistant. Teamwork and good communication skills are critical for good outcomes
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInventory supplies on shelves and in multiples storage areasMaintain order sheetsManage par levelsReview inventory forecast report Order supplies for LDRPDaily Ordering of disposable suppliesOrder new and replacement instrumentsScope, specialty instruments and equipment Repairs - contact vendor and coordinate return to vendor for repairResolve back order issuesMaintains expire logCoordinates with Inventory Analyst on low or no usage suppliesAttends monthly Surgical Value Analysis, monthly Operational Value Analysis, weekly Inventory meeting, daily meeting with Surgical Inventory Analyst and daily CSS huddleCoordinate logistics for new itemsPoint person for recalls of product stored in CSSManage defective devices - contacts rep and follow up Maintain specialty inventory/ordersCoordinates daily tasks for Surgical Inventory AssistantResolves last minute stock outsAll other job related duties as assigned
