Job Description

**Job Summary:** Clinic Allergy Nurse is responsible to the Clinic Manager and Provider. The Clinic Allergy Nurse is responsible for managing and executing all allergy clinic patient care plans as directed by physician Clinic Allergy Nurse will perform allergy testing, compounding of custom allergy serums per provider prescription adhering to aseptic technique as defined by USP 797, administration of immunotherapy injections and monitoring of patients to ensure mitigation of adverse reactions. Will maintain detailed records of allergen preparation to facilitate accurate coding/billing for service. This position will also be responsible for meeting and maintaining all current best practices and Joint Commission requirements for the operation of an allergy practice. **QUALIFICATIONS:** 1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 2. Current Oregon RN license in good standing. 3. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers and providers 4. Prefer three years experience in a clinic and/or community health setting. 5. Must obtain appropriate certifications and education to meet job requirements within 6 months of hire date. ** ****ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS****:** 1. Must lift 25 pounds maximum. Frequent lifting may be required to assist or move patients of all weight sizes in a safe manner. 2. Must be able to move objects or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. 3. Must react calmly and effectively in urgent and emergent situations. 4. Must be able to bend, stoop, ambulate and stand for long periods throughout the work day. 5. CPR Certification required. 6. Must perform highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations; and exercise independent judgment. 7. Develop, monitor, and manage allergy treatment program, to include allergy desensitization therapy. 8. Develop, monitor, and maintain policies to meet necessary state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations related to patient safety and care. 9. Must be able to prioritize time in order to meet patient care duties and management duties (to include clinic performance improvement measures, inventory control, clinic maintenance needs, staff development, competency testing, interdepartmental relations, educational requirements, and practice effective communication skills). 10. Must pass USP <797> required testing annually (written exam, media-fill test, and gloved fingertip/ thumb sampling). **Compensation** $44.31 - $61.09 Hourly - DOE
