Works closely with the obstetrics-gynecology (OB/GYN) provider(s) to perform phone triage for patient medical questions, in supporting patients through pregnancy, reproductive cancers, hormone disorders or other obstetrical and gynecological problems, and in providing appropriate education to the patient and their care giver or support team. Responsibilities Synthesizes patient assessment data & recognizes complex situations prior to communicating with care team; Obtains information from patients vital for successful clinical visit which may include: patient’s vital signs, weight, medical history.  Serves as a patient advocate, resource and contact person for OB/Gyn patients; Provides care coordination services including coordinating access to in-house and community resources and coordinating transition between points of care.  Manages all laboratory/diagnostic tracking systems, including the Electronic Medical Record and i2iTracks, to monitor, identify and notify patients of test results and appropriate follow up.; Manages care of complex patients utilizing proper prioritization and delegation to appropriate staff.  Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the age spectrum in a variety of primary care outpatient settings; Provides care that meets professional standards of practice and meets regulatory requirements.  Documentation reflects ongoing evaluation and effectiveness of patient care utilizing current standards, policies & procedures; Assists or performs all necessary preventive screening, CLIA waived labs, immunizations or other treatments as ordered by physician.  Triages patients who call or present with urgent medical needs and handles all incoming calls related to lab results, pharmacy refill requests, and medical questions.  Provides current health education about diagnostic and prescribed treatments.  Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in obstetrics-gynecology (OB/GYN) setting R.N., graduate of a program for professional nursing, i.e. school of nursing or college Computer competency: Basic Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; navigation of Internet and Intranet to access patient education materials Competencies Skills Essential: * Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal * Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs * Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members * Able To Withstand Crisis Situations * Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors Credentials Essential: * BLS - Basic Life Saving certification (American Heart Association) * RN - Registered Nurse Education Essential: * RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program Entry USD $26.12/Hr. Max USD $40.49/Hr.
