KY Regional Director of Oncology COE - Deaconess Health System Deaconess is seeking a dynamic and strategic KY Regional Director of Oncology Centers of Excellence (COE) to lead oncology operations across the Kentucky region. This role provides 24/7 accountability for service line performance and ensures excellence in quality, safety, patient experience, financial stewardship, and workforce engagement across medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and infusion services. Key Responsibilities * Strategic & Operational Leadership: * Direct regional oncology clinics, infusion centers, and radiation services. * Lead service line strategy, growth initiatives, and market development. * Serve as the primary liaison between oncology providers and system leadership. * Build strong physician partnerships to support alignment and engagement. * Represent the region in organizational strategy meetings and external collaborations. * Establish clear accountability, performance metrics, and productivity standards. * Clinical Practice & Performance * Ensure high‑quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes. * Partner with physicians and clinical leaders to maintain standards of practice. * Identify patient needs, trends, and opportunities for new programs or services. * Support staff competency, education, and clinical development. * Quality, Safety & Compliance * Translate organizational initiatives into department goals. * Lead quality improvement projects and monitor patient satisfaction. * Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (ACHC, Joint Commission, CoC, state requirements). * Use data, evidence‑based practice, and workflow optimization to improve operations. * Customer Loyalty & Experience * Use patient, staff, and physician feedback to drive service improvements. * Respond to concerns, identify trends, and implement corrective actions. * Strengthen relationships through rounding, communication, and service recovery. * Human Resources & Workforce Engagement * Recruit, hire, develop, and retain qualified staff and providers. * Foster a healthy work environment and model effective communication. * Provide coaching, conflict resolution, and professional development opportunities. * Monitor staff satisfaction and implement improvement strategies. * Fiscal ManagementDevelop and manage operating and capital budgets. * Monitor financial performance and resource utilization. * Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance revenue without compromising care. * Oversee long‑range financial planning and capital equipment needs. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Master's degree (MBA, MSN, MHA) preferred. * Minimum 3 years of leadership experience; hospital management preferred. * Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. * Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and build strong professional relationships.
