Campus: Gateway Unit: Neuro Cardiac Shift: PRN ## Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Neuro Cardiac Unit If you want a hands-on healthcare role where every shift matters, this is it. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Neuro Cardiac Unit at Gateway, you'll be directly involved in patient care on a unit that handles some of the most complex and rewarding cases in the hospital. You won't just be supporting care--you'll be part of the team delivering it. Working side-by-side with nurses, you'll help patients through critical moments of recovery, stabilization, and healing. ## Why This Unit Stands Out This is a high-acuity, fast-paced learning environment where you'll gain exposure to a wide range of conditions, including cardiac events, strokes, respiratory illnesses, infections, and multi-system medical complications. The unit is also a designated stroke unit and part of a certified Primary Stroke Center, meaning you'll be working where nationally recognized standards of care are met every day. With central telemetry monitoring and a diverse patient population, this is a place where your skills grow quickly and your work is always meaningful. ## What You 'll Do You'll provide essential, hands-on care that patients depend on: * Assist with bathing, hygiene, toileting, and linen changes * Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning * Take and record vital signs that guide clinical decisions * Document patient information accurately in medical records * Offer compassionate support, including care for patients at end of life This is a role where presence, empathy, and attention to detail truly matter.
