Position Highlights

Part Time (1 day per week)

A Brief Overview

Coordinates patient care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.

What you will do

  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all nursing care provided within the Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab settings.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of exercise principles and development of an appropriate exercise/rehab plan based on cardiac and pulmonary rehab patient evaluation and assessment. Performs ongoing evaluations of patient's compliance and response to therapy, and adjusts plan of care accordingly.

  • Initiates, provides, or delegates patient/family teaching at a level of expertise and documents appropriately, noting the recipients’ participation and response including pre-procedure calling and education.

  • Acts as a patient/family advocate and intervenes if necessary to ensure that patient care is not compromised.

  • Participates in planning, scheduling, and coordinating patient care.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing - An active license in the state of practice is required upon hire

  • 1-3 years experience working in a clinical or hospital environment, preferred.
