Salary Range: $26.48 - $42.36 per hour based upon union contract

Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers safe, competent, and
compassionate care under the supervision of a registered nurse, provider, or physician. In collaboration
with the healthcare team, the LPN participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and
evaluation of patient care, reflecting the standards of Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital. Within
their scope of practice, the LPN provides focused nursing interventions, administers prescribed
medications and treatments, monitors patient responses, and documents care accurately. The LPN
promotes patient well-being, supports education efforts under RN direction, and acts as a liaison
between patients, families, and the care team.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of
the healthcare team in the ongoing assessment, planning, and treatment of patients and families. The
LPN utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being reflective of
the philosophy and standards at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital. S/he maintains accurate
and complete documentation of nursing services with time efficiency, completing all tasks of paperwork
and direct care. The LPN provides all aspects of critical thinking and overall quality of care to patients
and families creating a partnership of culture, care, staff, and family. S/he serves as a patient advocate.
The LPN provides focused nursing interventions, administers prescribed medications and treatments,
monitors patient responses, and documents care accurately.
Job Requirements: Current Washington State LPN license; One year of current acute care experience
preferred; may be a new graduate with experience in preceptor program or sub-Acute care; Ability to lift
40 pounds from floor to waist; Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level; Ability to lift 5 pounds
overhead; Ability to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed; Ability to push 150 pound loaded stretcher 300
feet; Auditory ability to effectively perform procedures and take accurate blood pressures; Vision adequate
to observe patients and to perform charting and procedures; Ability to meet specific criteria for individual
nursing unit; Must have current BLS certification
