Reporting to the VP & CTO, this role ensures that AI technologies are used ethically, securely, and effectively to advance Harris Health's mission of innovative, high-quality community care. The Director will manage the system lifecycle of embedded and enterprise AI solutions, maintain an inventory of AI assets, monitor their usage and benefits, and ensure compliance with all organizational policies and applicable Texas and federal regulations on AI in healthcare.This role leads a team of AI specialists in the IT department and coordinates closely with stakeholders across procurement, legal, compliance, security, clinical operations, and the AI Governance Committee. The Director serves as the champion of responsible AI use, ensuring all AI systems deliver value while upholding the highest standards of patient safety, privacy, and ethics.Minimum Qualifications Degrees:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, Data Science or related fieldMaster's Degree in Artificial Intelligence or related degree or certification preferred Work Experience:Five (5) Years Work Experience in Healthcare preferredEight (8) Years Work Experience in IT Systems, Microsoft, ServiceNow, data & analytics or related field required Management Experience:Five (5) Years of Management Experience in Technology Project Management, Governance and Strategy, IT Operations or related field required Communication Skills: Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking) Writing/CorrespondenceWriting/Reports Proficiencies: MS Excel: IntermediateMS Word: Intermediate Job Attributes Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical AbilitiesDesign Knowledge and SkillsMedical Terminology KnowledgeOther Knowledge Skills or Abilities: Prompt engineering, Data analysis, Risk ManagementResearch Knowledge and AbilitiesStatistical Knowledge and AbilitiesWork Schedule: Eligible for Telecommute Other Requirements:MS PowerPoint: IntermediateMS Outlook: IntermediatePC: Intermediate
