Performs related duties such as participation in rounds, clinics, departmental performance improvement, and clinical education in accordance with state practice act, applicable regulations, and departmental policy and procedures. Participates in the design and implementation of decision making guidelines. Incorporates evidence-based practice in the patient management. Adheres to practice act, regulations and rules, departmental policies and procedures, and documentation and reimbursement rules applicable to the setting. Manages patient appointment system and works with front office on service authorization, certification and recertification when needed. Demonstrates competence to adapt work and customer service to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and other developmental needs of patients.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Master's degree of Speech & Hearing, Communicative Disorders or related fieldsLicenses & Certification: - Basic Life Support from approved American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Program- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)- Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Texas license through TDLRWork Experience: Two year performing comprehensive speech-language evaluations and treatment for adults, pediatrics and neonates.Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract)Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)Writing /Correspondence Writing /ReportsLanguage Skills: Bilingual - Spanish, Vietnamese preferred.
