JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS JOB SUMMARY Provides limited respiratory treatment, diagnostics and therapy under the direct supervision of#a credentialed respiratory care practitioner.# Student practitioners are under medical and technical supervision. # Key Responsibilities: # Setting up and calibrating equipment # Observing and recording patient signs and status during treatment # Assisting with respiratory treatment under supervision of Respiratory Therapist # Properly cleaning and sterilizing equipment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Professional # Technical Skills Good written and oral communication skills Recommendation from academic program chair Education High School Diploma or GED BLS certification Currently enrolled with good standing in a CoARC credentialed program Must have completed course studies in: i.### Anatomy and physiology ii.## Medical gas administration iii.# Respiratory pharmacology iv.# Medical aerosol administration Other Skills or Requirements Must be eligible to apply for student permit through the Indiana Health Professions Bureau Customer service oriented personality Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups) All age groups
