Position Summary: The Clinical Applications Analyst job family is responsible for the administration, reliability, optimization, and support of enterprise clinical application platforms that enable patient care, clinical operations, and regulatory compliance. This includes the administration and lifecycle management of the Electronic Health Record (EHR), Enterprise Clinical Imaging (EIS), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), and other non-biomedical clinical applications supporting diagnostic, therapeutic, clinical documentation, and care coordination workflows. This job family emphasizes application lifecycle execution, service request fulfillment, incident response, customer support, identity and access governance, application portfolio management, documentation, education, operational discipline, workload management, and continuous improvement rather than direct end-user ownership of clinical operations. This position may be filled as a Clinical Applications Analyst Associate (I), Clinical Applications Analyst (II), or Clinical Applications Analyst Senior (III), depending on qualifications, experience, and organizational need. Clinical Applications Analyst Associate (Entry-Level; I) Requirements High School Diploma or GED 4 years of Information Services#including#a minimum of 2 years of Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CPHIT),#preferred Summary Scope:##At the entry level, Clinical Applications Analysts contribute independently to clinical application lifecycle activities, service request fulfillment, incident response, customer support, identity and access administration, application portfolio maintenance, documentation, and workload coordination while developing foundational knowledge of healthcare workflows, governance standards, and assigned clinical application ecosystems. Working under guidance from more experienced analysts, they help ensure reliable, secure, and compliant clinical application operations. Clinical Applications Analyst (Mid-Level; II) Requirements High School Diploma or GED 5 years of Information Services including a minimum of#4 years of Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience required Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Technology (CPHIT), preferred Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) preferred Summary Scope:##At the mid-level, Clinical Applications Analysts lead the administration and optimization of assigned clinical application ecosystems by executing application lifecycle activities, fulfilling complex service requests, resolving higher-impact incidents, supporting clinical workflow optimization, administering identity and access controls, maintaining authoritative documentation, and driving operational consistency and continuous improvement. They partner with clinical stakeholders with moderate independence to ensure dependable, secure, and compliant service delivery. Clinical Applications Analyst Senior (Senior-Level; III) Requirements High School Diploma or GED 6 years of Information Services experience or 6 years of EHR Analyst experience Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Technology (CPHIT), preferred Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) preferred Summary Scope:##At the senior level, Clinical Applications Analysts drive operational governance and application lifecycle strategy across enterprise clinical application environments. They resolve major incidents, oversee complex application, identity, and service scenarios, enforce operational standards, maintain application portfolio integrity, and serve as primary liaisons between the organization, vendors, and external partners. Senior analysts mentor team members, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, promote standardization and automation, and lead continuous improvement efforts to ensure reliable, secure, compliant, and effective clinical application services that enable patient care and clinical operations.
