, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $21.36 (Min) — $32.04 hourly (Max), excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
As the
Accounting Specialist,
you will be asked to serve in a major role in supporting both the AP and Payroll functions. AP duties include keying invoices, reviewing vendor statements, as well as performing various administrative and reconciliation tasks. Payroll duties include serving as a fully trained backup for weekly and out-of-cycle payroll processing.
GL code a high volume of invoices– using the Yooz platform.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
Manage the corporate credit card program
Process EDI transactions
Complete check runs for the Hospital and its affiliates.
Monitor open purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with the purchasing team.
Review and reconcile vendors’ monthly statements
Act as the primary backup for the AP Supervisor.
Serve as the primary backup for the Payroll Manager
Prepare weekly and monthly payroll withholding check & ACH debit requests
Maintain Fixed Assets for all entities
Assist with general accounting projects and audit requests as needed
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Associates degree in Accounting or Business and/or 1–2+ years of accounts payable or payroll experience.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (1–2 days on site per week)
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to work in a fast-spaced environment that requires strong typing skills/speed
Comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred:
Bachelor Degree
Experience working for an organization that utilizes purchase orders
Experience working in a healthcare organization
