The leader in this position identifies and drives standardization of equipment, service and process. This is a strategic position that serves the vision of improved patient care and lower cost through the strategic contracting and acquisition of Capital Equipment and related services.Develops capital sourcing strategies that support expense control through strategic vendor partnerships, aggregation of spend and effective benchmarking and negotiations. The position scope is Lee health wide and includes acute and non-acute settings.Partners with strategic Lee Health customers through the Value Analysis process to evaluate opportunities and facilitate savings. This position also works closely with the member leadership, stakeholders and budgeting committees to facilitate capital acquisitions. Special attention shall be paid to equipment with implications for the Shared Electronic Health Record (SeHR).RequirementsEducational RequirementsDegree/Diploma ObtainedProgram of StudyRequired/Preferredand/orAdditional RequirementsKnowledge of contemporary business practices acquired through graduation from a four-year college/university or equivalent relevant business experience required.Experience RequirementsMinimum Years RequiredArea of ExperienceRequired/Preferredand/or5 YearsRequiredAdditional Requirements5-7 years of experience in purchasing, contracting, negotiation and sourcing required; Expertise in capital equipment and healthcare experience preferred.State of Florida Licensure RequirementsLicensesRequired/Preferredand/orNot RequiredCertifications/Registration RequirementsCertificates/RegistrationsRequired/Preferredand/orAdditional RequirementsRelevant Professional certification (CMRP, CPM or CPCM) preferred.Other Requirements Ability to source quality products & services; knowledge of market and pricing trends; ability to effectively bench mark total value Current knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures. Knowledge of contracting law and governing regulations Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers through excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and collaboration. Knowledge of methods used in the access and use of information including data analysis. Ability to prepare specifications and the analysis of bids and contracts.
