Department Assistant-Outpatient Surgery

Job Description: Seeking a Department Assistant in Outpatient Surgery to support the clerical functions of the individual department, while promoting Mary Lanning values and culture. As the point of contact for internal and external parties, this individual will be responsible for: Greeting and assisting customers in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner. Assisting with the gathering of data for departmental report needs. Maintaining office supply inventory; orders, stocks, and distributed office supplies as needed. Proofreading documents and reproducing documents, as needed. Scheduling and organization meetings, conferences, and appointments. Preparing minute agendas and minutes as required. Preparing notices and materials, mass mailing distributions; compiles time records; sends and receives e-mail records and correspondence; sorts and distributes mail, etc Other duties as assigned. The Department Assistant position is ideal for an individual who is team-oriented, organized, and reliable. Position Requirements: EDUCATION: GED or High School Diploma required (Associate Degree in Business preferred). EXPERIENCE: Basic computer skills required. One year related experience and/or training is preferred.
