**RN - Wound Clinic - As Needed - Dayshift** Varying hours Mon. - Fri. 6am - 430pm Meritus Health is now hiring a **Registered Nurse** for our Wound Center. The RN in this role will provide comprehensive assessment, advanced wound treatment, patient and family education, and care coordination--working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other care team members to support optimal healing. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform wound assessments, treatments, and evaluations for patients. * Implement and monitor evidence-based wound care protocols, including negative pressure therapy, compression therapy, and use of bio-engineered tissue products. * Coordinate care between inpatient units and the outpatient clinic, ensuring continuity and follow-up for complex wound cases. * Provide patient and family education on wound prevention, nutrition, and home care techniques. * Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team--physicians, dietitians, physical therapists, and case managers--to create individualized care plans. * Document wound care assessments and progress using the electronic medical record (EMR). * Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff regarding wound care practices. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development related to wound care management **Minimum Qualifications:** Education - ASN required. BSN Preferred. Experience - Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required. Licensure/Certification - Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program™ preferred. Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license. Specialty certification preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required.
