Job Description
Brook Lane's **Inpatient Services** provide intensive, 24-hour care to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing acute mental health crises. Patients in our care may face severe symptoms such as suicidal thoughts, impulsive behaviors, or require emergency stabilization. As a **Social Worker** you will play a key role in assessment, counseling, and care coordination--helping patients find stability and hope during their most vulnerable moments. **Continuing Education Provided:** We offer up to **24 hours of continuing education each year** to support licensure maintenance--an investment in your professional growth that can save clinicians **over $1,200 annually** in CE expenses. ### What You'll Do In this vital role, you'll provide professional counseling services with independence and empathy. You'll: * Conduct psycho-social and mental health assessments * Diagnose and develop tailored treatment plans * Offer counseling and emotional support to patients and families * Facilitate referrals and resources to promote adjustment and optimal functioning * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care ### What You Bring * Master's degree in Counseling from an accredited institution * LCSW-C licensure by the Maryland Board of Social Workers (required) * 1+ year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred) ### Skills That Set You Apart * Deep understanding of counseling principles and professional standards * Familiarity with community organizations and social service programs * Exceptional communication skills across diverse populations * Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and sound clinical judgment **Caring for Our Team ** We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees' well-being and professional growth.
