Program Director, School of RadiologyHours: Per DiemShift Details: DaysOn-Site: Middletown, CTPosition Summary:This position is accountable for the success of a significant business application at Middlesex Hospital. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Organizes and implements the curriculum for the School of Radiologic Technology. Instructs, evaluates and maintains educational performance of the radiography students.Interviews, counsels and supervises didactic and clinical education of students. Directs the in-service education program for the Radiology Service at the hospital and at the satellites. Functions as a member of the management team for developing, implementing, monitoring and meeting budget targets; develops and enforces policies and procedures; responsible for quality of service and continuous service improvement; effectively managing projects, people and resources. This position requires a high level of initiative and independent judgment, functioning in a leadership position performing system analysis, system design, training and systems improvement tasks. Develops detailed work plans and facilitates work groups. Communicates extensively with employees and other members of the health system community.Minimum Requirements: Masters Degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a radiography instructor and/or Program Director3-5 years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program,Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current registration in radiography or equivalent and holds an unrestricted Connecticut state license.Preferred Skills: Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation and academic advising.Demonstrates organization and analytical skills; ability to facilitate teams; manage and implement change.Demonstrates experience in developing strategic plans and successfully orchestrating projects/timelines; ability to collect and analyze data to make program improvements.Publicly and privately supports the department’s overall mission, as well as, actively seeks to support hospital, department, college and program missions and goals through positive modeling.
