Position SummaryThe Middlesex Health Beit Paley Center for Mental Health Services is currently accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position. This is a one year full time position. The Postdoctoral Psychologist will provide direct careincluding individual (including youth), couple, family and group therapeutic services to patients, including assessments, treatment plans, discharge planning, and psychological testing/evaluations.Responsibilities include:Participates in direct care to assess needs and coordinate services to appropriate population (children, adolescents, adults and families)Provides initial mental health assessments resulting in measurement based care planningAssesses using standardized screening tools, measures, etcPerform psychological assessments, testing, scoring and evaluationProvide diagnosis based on assessments, testing and evaluationDevelop comprehensive report for patients and providers with treatment recommendations based on diagnosisProvide group psychoeducation/treatment related to specific diagnoses/presenting issuesProvide psychological/neuropsychological testing to patients referred and provide timely feedback and reportsParticipates in directly supervising practicum and pre-doctoral trainees. This includes didactics, presentations, and group supervision.Provide bariatric assessments for Surgical Alliance and/or pain assessments for multi speciality groupMaintains daily/weekly scheduled appointments in electronic records systemsWork in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members including external partners and agenciesCompletes required documentation and paperwork including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely mannerDemonstrates cultural competency and commitment to patients including LGBTQ+ communityMaintain case load dependent on needParticipate in training to staff, mentees, and traineesMinimum Qualifications:Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) from accredited programAbility to diagnose using DSM 5Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organizedMust be able to work as a part of a teamExperience providing direct clinical careAbility to perform psychological assessments/evaluationsPreferred Qualifications:Neuropsychological or psychological testing experienceADOS 2 trainingExperience/knowledge of substance use disordersExperience/competency in working with LGBTQ+ Comprehensive Benefits OfferedCompetitive and affordable benefits packageShift DifferentialsContinuing Education assistanceTuition reimbursementStudent Loan relief through FiduciusQuick commute access from I-84, Route 9 and surrounding areasAbout Middlesex HealthThe Smarter Choice for your Career!Come join one of Connecticut’s Top Workplaces, and a Magnet designated organization!
