# Job Relationships# Department:#Diagnostic Imaging## Supervisor:##Hospital Radiology Supervisor Supervises: None# # Job#Summary The Radiologic Technologist successfully meets the needs of patients and families by delivering excellent patient care, performing diagnostic Radiology imaging procedures in a compassionate and safe manner and#in accordance with#established practices. Contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment while#operating#radiographic equipment.##Processes quality images,#maintains#adequate records,#assists#providers#and follows standard radiation and safety procedures. # This position will train in CT, and upon successful completion of CT training, the employee will receive a wage increase accordingly. # Compensation We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education#and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is#$30.89#$43.61. This range reflects the base salary for this position. # Key Accountabilities# Deliver excellent patient care by#demonstrating#compassion, thoroughly explaining procedures to patients, providing patient comfort, answering patient#questions#and completing exams#in a timely manner# Prepare patients#for Imaging exams by reviewing provider orders and notes, confirming correct#exam#to be performed, accurately assessing patient#s needs, positioning patient appropriately for#exam#and providing patient education.### Perform quality exams by#operating#applicable Imaging equipment competently including data acquisition, image manipulation and reconstruction, and quality control measures to ensure#optimal#quality diagnostic images and monitoring patient throughout the exam.## Maintain#accurate#patient records by completing correct and#timely#entries in all electronic health systems (i.e.#HIS/RIS, PACS) and department specific programs.# Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work in a calm manner.#Anticipates work to be done and#seeks#to#assist#others, maximizing productivity in both patient care and non-patient care departmental tasks.# Stay current in the field by enhancing personal professional skills and knowledge through CEUs, self-study,#research#and dialogue, ensuring competency in all assigned exams and ability to easily float to assigned areas.# Support the organization by performing other duties as assigned Required Qualifications ARRT (R) - ARRT registration in Radiology#or#ARRT Registry eligible and completion within 6 months of hire# Must be enrolled in#NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within#90 days#of enrollment. Must remain current (complete quarterly assignments prior to the end of each calendar quarter).## Initial Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) within six months.## Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter# Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment.# ARRT(R) # ARRT Registration in Radiology and a minimum of one year experience are preferred Schedule 40 hours per 2-week#pay period Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. # 4:00 p.m., Evening Shift: 1:00 p.m. # 9:30 p.m., Night Shift: 3:00 p.m. # 11:30 p.m., Overnight Shift: 11:00 p.m. # 7:00 a.m. This position will primarily work evening (1:00 p.m. # 9:30 p.m.) and night (3:00 p.m. # 11:30 p.m.) shifts, with overnight coverage every fourth weekend.
