Job Summary:
Oneida Health is actively seeking a full-time Laundry Aide to work the day shift in our hospital laundry facility. This position involves routine manual work in processing laundry-related tasks under general supervision. The ideal candidate will be efficient and able to perform tasks thoroughly.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, sort, and weigh laundry, linen, and garments, placing them in appropriate containers and/or assigned areas.
Follow cleaning policies and procedures to ensure proper washing.
Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, and garments as necessary.
Follow established procedures on cross-contamination and infectious materials to assure the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times.
Keep the work environment free of hazardous conditions such as spills, excess laundry carts, baskets, supplies, and equipment.
Perform other related duties as needed to support a teamwork environment.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
License:
Valid NYS Driver's License (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
The role involves prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and repetitive motions. It requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
