RN II Clinic Float, Nursing Services (3121)

Position Summary:

The RN Clinic Float provides comprehensive nursing care across multiple Trinity Health clinic departments, supporting patient assessment, treatment, education, and care coordination. This role adapts to a variety of clinical settings and patient populations, ensuring care is delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with nursing standards and organizational policies. Working collaboratively with providers, clinic staff, and interdisciplinary teams, the RN Clinic Float supports daily clinic workflows, responds to changing patient needs, and helps maintain continuity of care. The position functions within a supportive, team-oriented environment where flexibility, communication, and shared responsibility are essential. Key Responsibilities:

Perform patient assessments, administer treatments, and support provider-directed care across assigned clinic departments while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
Triage patient concerns in person and by phone, prioritizing needs based on clinical urgency and coordinating appropriate follow-up.
Prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, and manage clinical supplies to ensure readiness and adherence to infection-prevention standards.
Provide patient education related to diagnoses, medications, self-care, and follow-up instructions to promote understanding and positive health outcomes.
Collaborate with providers, clinic staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support efficient patient flow and coordinated care delivery.
Adapt quickly to varied clinic specialties and workflows, providing support where needed and maintaining effective communication with the nursing manager regarding daily assignments.
