Our values ask for a deeper level of commitment, and what is asked of us we freely give because we believe in our mission.RequiredQualifications:Registered Nurse LicenseOne (1.0) full time equivalent (FTE)At least one (1) to two (2) years of progressive experience in area of specialtyRNs accepted into the unit champion role will be at the unit leader’s discretion and based on unit needsBLSDemonstrates effective interpersonal skillsSelf-motivation and accountabilityTeam OrientatedPreferredQualifications:BSNClinical Certification in area of specialtyDuties and Responsibilities:Addendum to Registered Nurse Purpose Description and PCS Charge Nurse Role DescriptionActs as a clinical and supervisory resourceServes as a role model for unit quality initiativesCommitted and participates in professional development of self, peers, and unit growthNavigates patient care management and throughputDedicated to patient satisfaction by improving patient experiencesAssures the safety of patient and staff is maintainedEach employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC’s Service Standards into their daily work:Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and StewardshipOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:Must be able to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance.Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist frequently.Must be able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push up to three hundred (300) pounds frequently.Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids and meets OSHA training requirements.Special Demands:Sets limits when dealing with angry, hostile, or sometimes verbally or physically abusive patients and families in an attempt to ensure a safe, respectful environment that will support the delivery of care.Effectively copes and strives for balance when caring for acutely ill patients and families.
