Job Requirements Sign on bonus is offered for New Graduate Nurses and Experienced RN's! Our Orthopedic Trauma unit has 28 beds with Central Tele monitoring capability. This team cares for patients with various Medical Surgical conditions and disease processes while specializing in Ortho Trauma. Injuries range from traumatic falls resulting in fracture, motorcycle/vehicle collisions, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, work-related injuries, crush injuries, pathological fractures and more. The nurses on this team often work with a multitude of medical devices including but not limited to chest tubes, NG tubes, skeletal/buck’s traction, external fixators, and trachs to name a few. The leadership for this team includes the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse and ADT nurse, who all began as a staff nurses within SRHS. The Nurse Manager has an extensive clinical background to include clinical education and has worked as the leader of this team since it was newly developed in 2020. Not only is she a wonderful and encouraging leader, but also a great teacher with a wealth of clinical knowledge. Position Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for the registered nurse and support staff. Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Medical Center culture, Vision, Mission and goals.It is the premise of the Professional Practice Program that each of the key responsibilities builds on the preceding requirements. Minimum Requirements Education Novice to experienced nurse Experience Minimum of one year of recent R.N. experience within the past 5 years preferred.
