Athletic Trainer Resident

Job Requirements Position Summary The Athletic Training Resident renders service or treatment under the direction of a physician including prevention, immediate care, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, rehabilitation and reconditioning, administration and organization relating to athletic injury or illness. He/she coordinates Athletic Training coverage for community-based events. He/she is responsible for coverage and care of athletes as assigned by the Sports Medicine Institute Manager. He/she participates in community events/presentations, staff education, and other departmental activities as requested by the supervisor, manager, or director. Minimum Requirements Education BS in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited athletic training programExperience:N/ALicenses/Registrations/ CertificationsBOC CertificationCPR-AHA BLSSC Athletic Training Certification or eligible

Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures based on accepted practice standards.Develops an appropriate treatment plan with measurable, objective short and long-term goals.Provides outreach services to professional & non-professional organized athletic clubs, teams & schools.Completes timely and accurate documentation and billing according to practice standards. Provides education and training to patients, families, and caregivers.Adjusts work scheduled to meet the needs of assigned school/customer.Attends departmental and hospital committees and meetings.Completes other duties as assigned.Actively participates in residency program and completes all assignments.
