Job Description

Job Requirements Position Summary A Histotechnician (HT) lead performs functions involved in preparing slides for various body tissues following surgery or autopsy for study by the pathologists. HT leads assist with problem solving procedure development and regulatory readiness. An HT must follow established laboratory standards, practices, and procedures. The HT understands and complies with the Standards of Behavior and department policies, procedures, and regulations. Minimum Requirements Education High school graduate or equivalentExperience
- 5+ years’ experience in anatomic pathology labLicense/Registration/Certifications
- Certification by an acceptable laboratory registry as a HT, preferably ASCPPreferred RequirementsPreferred Education
- AS/BS in histology or related science field with completion of an approved technical training program or equivalent experience.Preferred Experience
- 8+ years’ experience in anatomic pathology labPreferred License/Registration/Certifications
