Madison Regional Health System is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home. The Speech Language Pathologist / SLP is responsible for the assessment of patients ranging in skilled care hospital based patients, outpatients, pediatrics and swallow studies that require treatment for speech, hearing, and or language deficits. The SLP will teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase their oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively. Also, SLP will teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid. Requirements include: Must have graduated from an accredited school. Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP. Current CPR certification. Speech Language Pathologist will work Monday through Friday. The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust. Will be working with a variety of general rehab equipment. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year.
