We're looking for a compassionate, dependable Patient Accounts Lead to join our team and continue our tradition of excellence. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting our revenue cycle by ensuring accurate billing, resolving patient account concerns, and working collaboratively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams. What You'll Do * Process accurate charging, billing, payment posting, refunds, and account follow-up for hospital, professional, and comprehensive center billing. * Research and resolve billing discrepancies, contract variances, and outstanding accounts. * Assist patients by answering questions related to billing, insurance, and payment processes. * Work with insurance companies and patients to obtain payment on outstanding accounts using appropriate collection practices. * Maintain departmental accounts receivable goals through timely and accurate account resolution. * Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Deaconess policies and procedures. * Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in every interaction. What We're Looking For Required * High school diploma or GED. * Two to four years of experience in a physician office, hospital registration, hospital or professional billing, collections, or equivalent education or training in medical billing. * Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred * Knowledge of healthcare billing, insurance reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes. * Experience working with electronic billing systems and patient account management.
