Job Requirements Position Summary The Central Patient Transport Supervisor assists Managers in assessing and assigning work throughout the hospital. Works along with staff daily (80%). Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or equivalent Experience 2 years management experience in related fieldMust be able to adjust communication, both verbal and nonverbal, to interact appropriately and effectively with a wide variety of age group (including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) License/Registration/Certifications CPR Certification (on the job training and certification) Preferred Requirements Preferred Education BS, BA, Masters Preferred Experience 2+ years management experience in a related field Preferred License/Registration/Certifications N/A Core Job Responsibilities Operates all hospital equipment related to Central Patient Transport.Produces and maintains discussion planner and other documentation of work performance.Assists managers with evaluations and other performance related material.Interacts with patient and families based on knowledge of periods of growth and development.Must be able to withstand stress and demands of active position.Must be able to withstand long hours of standing, stooping, bending, and sitting.Must be able to lift and move heavy objects/patients (50 lbs).Must have manual dexterity and adequate vision to perform job.Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.Must be able to respond calmly and efficiently in a crisis situation.Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds throughout the hospital. Must be able to work without constant supervision.Must be able to communicate effectively with all patient populations ranging from pediatric through geriatric.Other duties as assigned.
