Summary POSITION SUMMARYPosition Summary:Provides support to the nursing staff by continuous observation and surveillance to prevent patient injury for assigned patients. First line of action is to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at risk behaviors. Summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Is knowledgeable and follows patient and institutional confidentiality and related hospital policies. Makes rounds to patients being monitored, transports specimens, equipment and completes courier duties. Also acts as patient sitter to provide support to the nursing staff.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSMinimum EducationHigh school graduate or GED preferredMinimum ExperienceHospital, clinic, or direct patient care experience preferred.Required Registration/License/CertificationNone
