Summary POSITION SUMMARYPosition Summary:Provides quality care by performing tasks associated with medication administration, including patient vital signs, calculation of medication dosages, and stocking of the medication cart. Assists with providing a safe, comforting, and calm environment for the resident which includes observation and reporting of resident needs.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSMinimum EducationHigh school graduate or GEDCompletion of a certified medication aide training courseMinimum ExperienceOne year nurse assisting or med aide experience preferredRequired Registration/License/CertificationCertified Medication Aide (CMA)Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for Health Care Provider or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider) successfully obtained within the first 90 days of employment
