Stamford Health is looking for a full-time receiving clerk!
This is a
full-time
position. 5 days/week 8am - 4pm.
Major Responsibilities:

Receive (electronically and/or physically), inspect, count, and note any discrepancies on incoming and outgoing freight. Record all quantities received on the purchase order or shipped on a BOL, both on paper and in the system to ensure accurate processing and audit trails. Document all non PO deliveries using the Integra System.

Must be able to operate all dock and storeroom equipment safely and correctly.

Deliver and record supplies and equipment to hospital units in an accurate and timely manner.

Maintain work areas in a neat, clean, and orderly manner at all times. Protect supplies and equipment from damage or loss.

Comply with all inventory controls in order to maintain an accurate record (physical inventory, paperwork, and system). Perform key entry tasks as necessary specific to receiving service PO’s as required using Oracle to identify all open INR (Invoice not received) Purchase orders as directed by Accounts Payable or Strategic Sourcing (Procurement).

Able to correctly use the computer to access the authorized systems (e.g. Meditech, Pyxis, Outlook, etc.).

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, clinicians, and other relevant hospital areas.

Performs other related distribution services tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor.

Manual Skills:
Most portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity. (E.g. typing, machine operations, use of material handling equipment, box cutter, etc.)
Physical Effort:
Most portions of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material, equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying light to heavy items (over 30 pounds) for intermittent periods throughout the day.
Physical Environment:
Some portions of daily assignments involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, or include patient care areas with limited but potential exposure to human waste, body fluids, contagions, and similar elements. Working surfaces may be uneven, slippery or unstable. Some portions of daily assignments involve occupational risk such as cuts, needle punctures, exposure to toxic chemicals, injuries from falls or back injury sustained while moving or lifting equipment or materials.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.
