Job Description
The University of Tampa contracts with Tampa general Hospital for the management of clinical services, including counseling services. This position is a Tampa General Hospital position providing services exclusively to the University of Tampa. Responsibilities include tasks related to Tampa General Hospital employment and mental health services for University of Tampa students. Duties and Responsibilities: · The Clinical Case Manager is responsible for executing risk assessments, outreach, student, faculty and staff training, service initiation, and treatment management for high-risk patients. · Coordinates with Manager of Counseling Services, psychiatrist, and appropriate team members to establish treatment plans, follow-up, and transitional services. · Reviews psychiatric and behavioral health records to determine level of functional stability and communicate this with treatment team. Verifies patients are compliant with treatment plans and updates plans as necessary. · Participates in UTampa Spartan Support meetings as a clinical consultant and in university wide behavioral health outreach services. Engages with the UTampa Director of Student Care and Advocacy and the Assistant Vice President of Wellness regarding behavioral health practices, and campus behavioral health initiatives. Attends university at risk Spartan Support committee meetings as behavioral health representative and stand in for the Manager of UTampa Counseling Services. · Delivers mental health services as a member of the behavioral health provider team and communicates with team members about service barriers, best practices, and coordination of care to ensure timely and appropriate treatment levels, length of treatment, and transition planning. · Serves as clinical liaison with behavioral health inpatient facilities, with patient consent, to assist in discharge planning when a student has been hospitalized. · Conducts medication management meetings to coordinate psychiatric care. · Provides referrals for community treatment and assists in navigating university services and processes. · Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required. License/Certification: Licensed Professional Counselor Work Experience: At least five (5) years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified in essential functions. Experience in clinical treatment anf case management for at risk populations. Experience working with a multidisciplinary team including licensed mental health providers, psychiatrics providers, and medical providers. Experience in public speaking with ability to provide mental health trainings. Experience in providing direct mental health counseling services. *University experience preferred.
