Job Description
Job Summary Under general supervision of the respective PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director and Preceptors, and according to established polices and procedures, responsible for developing an accurate and efficient practice of pharmacy including general clinical pharmacy services to patients, in coordination with the nursing and medical staff. Participates in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, research, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. Assesses the age specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. Able to perform all of the duties of a registered pharmacist. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and the ASHP Residency Accreditation Standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Licensure/Registration: Current or obtaining licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida by October 1st of the residency year. Ability to use computer equipment, databases, and related pharmacy office equipment.
