Job Description
The Ground Transport Nurse provides comprehensive care to critically ill or injured patients during ground medical transport. The Ground Transport Nurse collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers, to deliver high-quality medical care during interfacility transfers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, ASN required RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida Florida Paramedic license Two (2) years of current Critical Care and/or Emergency Department experience Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) within 1st year of hire Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) within 1st year of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within first six (6) months of hire or transfer Advanced Trauma Certification (TNCC, TPATC, ATLS) within first six (6) months of hire or transfer In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing and emergency medical protocols Knowledge of advanced life support and trauma care principles Proficiency in performing advanced clinical procedures Strong assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to make quick, accurate decisions in high-stress situations Physical stamina to perform duties in challenging environments Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
