Includes Clinical roles focused on research projects. Positions in this family perform basic, translational, and/or clinical research towards solving a specific problem for an entity or community.A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of otherlower levelprofessionals or manage processes and programs.The majority oftime is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typicallyacquiredthrough advanced education.An entry level role that applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.May require the followingproficiency: work is closely supervised, problems faced are not typically difficult or complex, and explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.Job OverviewThe Research Project Coordinator serves as the link between administrative staff,fellowsand faculty, and with peers and colleagues outside of these areas, ensuring high quality multi-direction communications betweenresearch stakeholders.This positionprovidesa wide range of project management and administrativeassistancetothe key players involved in the research.Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications:1.Bachelor’sdegree.2.Two (2) years ofrelated experience.Preferred Qualifications:1.Prior experience in academic or medicalresearch experience.Duties and Responsibilities:Theduties and responsibilities listedbeloware intended to describe the general nature of workandare not intended to be an all-inclusive list.Other dutiesand responsibilitiesmay be assigned.1.Providessupport tostakeholdersthrough creating project plans and timelines related toresearchactivities;2.Creates the agenda, summaries, and tracks action items for committee meetings.3.Compiles andcuratescontent forcommunications.4.Promotes activitiesthroughmaintainingsocial outlets.5.Organizes andmaintainsthe list of active IRB protocols to better understand the landscape of research, find better ways to enhance enrollment, and createadditionalawareness of studies.6.Prioritizes meetings and resolves conflict by calling calendar issues to theResearch Sponsor’sattention.7.Coordinates seminars andspecial events.Develops and manages budgets,organizeguest speaker itineraries and travel arrangements,planthe agendas and event schedules, prepares all correspondencerequiredandmaintainsmeeting material files. Acts as a VIP liaison, hosts and organizes distinguished scientists and other donors.8.Develops andmaintainseffective working relationships with senior administration and medical staff necessary to carry out the goals,objectives, and initiatives of the Executive Director; exercise careful judgment in arranging priorities of theResearch Sponsor; and deal with issues that are significant, sensitive,politicaland confidential in nature.9.Ensures compliance with established hospital policies, quality assurance programs, safety and infection control policies and procedures.10.Provides recommendations for system improvements and works with leadership to implement as needed.11. Preparesmarketing materials for meetings and conferences;assistingwith the tenor, nature, and content of both the newsletter and website.12. Createsreports and presentations.13.Maintainsfiles and cost tracking spreadsheets.14.Utilizesgood judgment todeterminewhat questions or routine issues can be dealtwith onwhile keeping them abreast of all activity.15.Actively follows-up on action items to ensure that deadlines are met as needed and progress is being made toward achieving milestones.16. Staffs all Scientific Advisory Board Committees including the Development Core, Statistical Core, and Clinical Trial Central Research Coordinator Core.17.In conjunction with theResearch Sponsorssolicitsinformation and materials, reports on accomplishments, compiles publication, research grant, and clinical trial lists, arranges photos to be shot per specific issue, builds the team calendar which includes the deadlines for abstract submissions and conference/seminar registrations, and oversees the overall operations of creating the publication.18.Drafts and publishes content on behalf of the Executive Director while coordinating with the marketing and publicrelationteams to ensure that output is effective andappropriate underhospital policy.20.Arranges travel (both national and international), hotel reservations,passportsand visas, etc. and prepares detailed itineraries for all travel.Physical Requirements:1.Consistent with a normal office work environment.2.Workrequiresfrequent continuous typing/computer keying, telephone use and sitting for extended periods.Skills & Abilities:1.Experience in project management.2.Ability to successfully plan and organize an event.3.Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with researchers, staff,administratorsand customers.Outstanding customer service skillsrequired.4.Excellent organizational skills to managework flowindependently.
