OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist with expertise and advanced training in ERCP and EUS procedures. You will be part of a high-volume and high-producing Gastroenterology practice, consisting of 8 Gastroenterologists and supported by 10 APPs, 4 Nurses and 8 Medical Assistants. Our physicians provide inpatient critical care at WakeMed as well as outpatient services and procedures. We care for patients across Wake County with offices in Raleigh and Cary. Responsibilities include performing advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to:ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound) and EUS-guided interventionsStent placement, and other complex endoscopic proceduresProvide comprehensive care for patients with complex gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary diseasesCollaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists in multidisciplinary case managementParticipate in clinical research, quality improvement, and program developmentPerform rigorous inpatient and outpatient GI assessments in a collaborative environmentServe as teaching faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency programsEngage in peer review, lectures/presentations, and quality assurance initiativesPromote health maintenance, prevention, and patient advocacy The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students and/or APPs within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
