Patient Care Technician - Med/Surg (PCT)

Job Overview As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Medical Surgical Unit, you'll work alongside nurses and providers to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs. You'll play an important role in supporting patient comfort, safety, and recovery by assisting with daily care activities, monitoring patient status, and helping create a positive patient experience. What You'll Do * Assist with bathing, oral care, toileting, and linens * Support safe mobility, repositioning, and transfers * Monitor and record vital signs * Document patient information accurately * This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations * Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation About Deaconess Union County Hospital Deaconess Union County Hospital has proudly served the Morganfield, Kentucky community since opening in 1946. Requirements * Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire * High school diploma or GED preferred * Completion of required PCT classes for the unit
