Team Leader Payroll

This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the day-to-day payroll processing operations. This includes, but is not limited to, administrative duties involving the development and maintenance of payroll systems, internal controls and records. Provides training to team on any new policies, regulations, and processes. Additionally, Payroll Team Lead assists team with resolving errors or responding to inquiries. Acts as the primary back-up to the Payroll Supervisor. May also support the financial needs of all the other hospital as assigned by Management. ** ** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Job Duties 1. Lead administrator of Payroll 2. Create and maintain efficient payroll system workflows and tasks 3. Own and design the payroll system requirements and business process changes 4. Responsible for ongoing system testing for new functionality 5. Serve as a lead for payroll upgrades - collaborate with other ADP users to plan for upgrade, build test scripts, testing/validation and deployment for new functionality 6. Lead new business implementation to ensure successful integration into payroll system 7. Ensure data flow into the payroll system is calculating accurately 8. Evaluate existing business processes and recommend solutions 9. Develop and maintain payroll reporting Competencies 1. Must comply with Standards of Employee Conduct 2. Knowledge of Accounting software, Human Resource systems, Payroll systems, and Microsoft Office including advanced formula functions (VLookups, Pivot Tables, etc) 3. Experience with accounting processes and month-end closing including journal entries and reconciliations 4. Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of employee data and established data systems 5. Strong written and verbal communication skills 6. Leadership, project/process management, quality commitment and relationship skills 7. Ability to be collaborative and personable through communication and understanding the needs of technical and non-technical resources 8. Ability to manage and deliver multiple development projects on time and meet expectations
