Position HighlightsDepartment: The Mayer Center Occupational TherapyHours: 24.00 per weekShift: Shift 1, Days Position SummaryAdministers Occupational Therapy services under medical prescription in accordance with Hospital regulation, State of Connecticut Practice Act and quality standards.  Responsible for clinical oversight of COTA  Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelops a plan of care for each patient with the patient's input and agreement, which includes safety, educational, psychological and developmental needs of the patient.Interprets and assesses data about the patient as evidenced by appropriate goal setting and revision of goals throughout the plan care while explaining treatment goals, plans, techniques and outcomes to patient and or family.Displays expertise in recommending various therapeutic procedures and modalities.Complies with professional and departmental documentation standards.Addresses a home exercise program with each patient.
