Job SummaryJob DescriptionAssigns appropriate codes to all patient typesAbstracts critical information and enters data into hospital information systemMonitors accounts "in process" for diagnosis to assure daily DNFB standard is metMaintains high level of coding expertiseMeets expectations for Remote Coding Placement outlined in the NRHS Remote Coder Agreements QualificationsEducationBachelors of Science or Associates in Applied Arts/Science or equivalent years of experience. Certification with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) and/or Registration with American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or other equivalent coding certification preferred. Three years coding of experience preferred.ExperienceMinimum two years of professional coding experience. Work ShiftDay
