IL Maintenance Engineer I

Facility Maintenance Technician Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys keeping essential systems running safely and efficiently? Join our team and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and reliable environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. ### What You'll Bring Education * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Trade school education preferred. * EPA Universal Certification preferred. Experience * Minimum of two (2) years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience required. * Experience in electrical systems and HVAC is strongly preferred, including at least one year working in these areas. * Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations. * Ability to work collaboratively with Security and follow established safety and facility protocols while on duty. ### Preferred Skills * Strong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical equipment. * Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. * Understanding of workplace safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. * Familiarity with maintenance practices in a healthcare or hospital environment. * Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
