Position Summary As the Quality Registered Nurse (RN), you'll support the District's Quality, Compliance, Risk Management, and Performance Improvement programs by promoting regulatory compliance, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement throughout the organization. Working closely with the Director of Quality and interdisciplinary teams, you'll conduct clinical audits, monitor quality metrics, support accreditation readiness, provide staff education, and help ensure compliance with Title 22, CMS Conditions of Participation, and other regulatory standards. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys improving healthcare processes, analyzing clinical data, educating staff, and making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities Conduct concurrent and retrospective chart audits to ensure documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance. Support survey readiness through mock tracers, document reviews, and accreditation preparation activities. Monitor quality indicators, patient safety events, and compliance trends while assisting departments with corrective action planning. Analyze clinical and quality data to identify opportunities for performance improvement. Participate in incident reviews, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and patient safety initiatives. Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of District policies and procedures. Educate and coach staff on quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation best practices. Prepare reports and presentations for Quality, Compliance, and Performance Improvement Committees. Collaborate with leaders and clinical teams to promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.


Minimum Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Hospital experience preferred. Experience in Quality Improvement, Performance Improvement, Compliance, Risk Management, or Patient Safety preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or equivalent certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within two years of hire.
