The patient’s place of residence may be their home, a skilled nursing facility, an assisted living facility or group home. Daily tasks include obtaining vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, administering injections and medications, verifying and updating patient medical records for completeness, refilling medications, notifying patients or their caregiver of test results, and other assigned duties within the MA scope of practice.
