Job Description
As a Nutrition Services Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of patient dining, retail food service, catering, and food production while leading a dedicated team focused on quality, safety, and outstanding customer service. ### Responsibilities * Supervise the daily operations of patient meal service, retail dining, catering, and food production. * Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Nutrition Services team members. * Create schedules, manage staffing needs, and ensure appropriate shift coverage. * Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, infection prevention practices, and Joint Commission requirements. * Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and waste reduction initiatives. * Assist with inventory management, product ordering, PAR levels, and FIFO practices. * Address customer concerns and promote an exceptional dining experience. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support departmental performance goals. ## Qualifications Required * High school diploma or GED. * Minimum of 3-5 years of food service experience. * Strong leadership and customer service skills. * Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification within six months of hire. Preferred * Associate degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or a related field. * Two years of supervisory experience. * Healthcare food service experience. * Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
