As an RN you will be a part of a collaborative and innovative group of individuals who strive to improve outcomes for an at risk population. The Registered Nurse provides individualized care primarily for medical and telemetry patients with a co-occurring Substance Use Disorder (SUD).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide safe and comprehensive care to patients at various points in recoveryAct as patient advocateAdminister medications as orderedMonitor patient condition and provide appropriate interventions when necessaryContribute to building and maintaining a team oriented environmentEncourage patient success and help to foster an environment of recoveryHelp facilitate safe discharge plans including aftercare when appropriateEffectively delegate to and supervise support staffPerform other duties as requiredApplies the nursing process with patients and families, integrating principles that reflect sensitivity to their age-specific/developmental needs, gender, culture, religion, psychosocial and socioeconomic backgrounds in order to provide evidence-based, holistic care in a manner that respects the worth and dignity of each individual. Practices professional nursing as a registered nurse within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice and Code for Nurses. Minimum Qualifications:A Registered Nurse licensed in the State of CT with a minimum of one year of nursing experience required.
