Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver the best possible care in LRH’s patient-focused setting.

SUMMARY:

To manage acutely ill or injured patients of all ages. This fast-paced nursing specialty requires the skill to treat patients with varying levels of acuity as well as perform procedures in collaboration with the Emergency Unit attending physician. Utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs, complete a health history and physical exam, systematically plan and implement a plan of care, prescribe medications, assess for risk factors and contraindications to treatment, refer patients to appropriate specialties and facilities, and continually evaluate the outcomes of that care.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required. Master’s or doctorate degree required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

An active CNP license is required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required. Federal and State DEA certification. Current certifications for BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP and Mandatory Reporting of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse or completion in accordance with hospital Education Policy.
