SEIU Pay Range: $23.69 to $35.45 Dependent on Experience # Prepares, seasons and cooks food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors. Job Requirements Knowledge of /Skill/Ability to:# Training in institutional food preparation preferred License/Certification Current Food Handler#s Certificate or able to obtain within thirty (30) days. Education and/or Experience## Minimum Experience:# On-the-job-training# Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance# Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.), frequent prolonged standing/walking.# Subject to burns and cuts; exposed to hot and humid work environment; exposed to hazards of steam and heat; exposed to heat, wetness, and odors in kitchen and/or painted areas; exposed to varying degrees of kitchen elements. Position involves standing, walking, stooping.# May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
