Hospitalist

Location: Deaconess Hospital (Gateway, Midtown, Henderson) * There are a total of 53+ employed Hospitalists in the group * Program was started approximately 23 years ago * Shifts are 12 hours in length * Shift available (8a - 8p) * 180 shifts/year (full-time), 15 shifts per month, with flexible scheduling * Average # of admissions: * Gateway: 14-16 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm and Round Robin admissions from 8am-4pm * Midtown: 16-18 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm * Henderson: 10-14 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 7pm and round robin admissions from 7am-3pm * Two Nocturnists per night at Midtown and Gateway; 8p-8a * One Nocturnists per night at Henderson; 7p-7a * Referral base includes ED visits, direct admissions, and regional transfers * Robust subspecialty support * Procedures not required
